The Foundation’s Board of Directors is drawn from parents in the school community as well as alumni and other community supporters.

Christine Desadeleer, Vice President
Christine Desadeleer is a Sonoma County native and lifelong advocate of Waldorf education. A Waldorf alumna herself – from Kindergarten through High School – Christine now brings a full circle perspective as both a Waldorf graduate and a current parent at the school. With a strong background in project management and operations, Christine has led complex initiatives across diverse teams, always with a focus on collaboration, process improvement, and problem solving. Her expertise in planning, research, budget tracking and streamlining operations has helped organizations become more efficient and aligned with their long term goals. Christine is honored to join the board and looks forward to supporting The Charter Foundation in its mission to grow and thrive. She’s excited to bring her skills and perspective to foster a vibrant, supportive school community for both current and future families.
Diana Ortiz, Secretary
Diana has recently joined The CF Board as Board Member at Large. A Sonoma County local resident, she has been a part of the banking community for over 12 years providing financial expertise to help serve her community. Currently she is serving as an Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager in Rohnert Park for Summit State Bank. Diana enjoys volunteering, and has volunteered for many different nonprofits including North Bay Animal Services, Wilson School, Loma Vista School, and more. A creative thinker herself, she looks forward to serving on the CF board in support of the Waldorf mission and all that it encompasses.
Sarah Hug , Treasurer
Sarah joined the board in August 2025. She has worked for PG&E for 17 years. She is a parent of two students one second year K-2 and third grade.

Ashley Schroth-Cary, Community Development Manager
Ashley Schroth-Cary is a holistic nutritionist with a unique background spanning emergency response, fitness, and wellness education. She studied at Bauman College and San Francisco State University and began her career as an EMT/firefighter and ski patroller before finding her true calling in nutrition and preventative health.
For more than 15 years, Ashley has designed and led wellness programs in Sonoma County that integrate nutrition, exercise, and stress management. Her experience includes one-on-one nutrition counseling, group workshops, cooking classes, and both individual and group exercise training. She is a six-time certified personal trainer, a sports nutrition specialist, and a youth fitness specialist, with a passion for helping people eat healthier, train smarter, and manage stress effectively.
Ashley has also been deeply involved with the Charter Foundation and Sebastopol Charter School. She served on the Charter Foundation Board for seven years before joining the staff, and for the past three school years has contributed in a variety of roles at Sebastopol Charter School. She now looks forward to continuing her work in her new role with the Charter Foundation.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their dogs—often outdoors or sneaking away to Lake Tahoe. She has a lifelong passion for healthy cooking and loves inspiring others to discover their own enthusiasm for wellness.
